Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov discussed key areas of cooperation to support Ukrainians abroad with representatives of the Council of Europe Office. In particular, he talked to Lilja Grétarsdóttir, Head of the Department for the Implementation of Human Rights, Justice and Legal Cooperation Standards of the Council of Europe.

During the meeting, Oleksiy Chernyshov briefed the participants on the main priorities of the Ministry of National Unity. According to him, one of the key tools in the work of the Ministry will be Unity Hubs – support centres for Ukrainians in countries of temporary residence.

“Unity Hubs will facilitate the integration of our citizens into local communities, provide consular and administrative services, as well as create opportunities for educational, cultural development and engagement in support of Ukraine,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the partners for their long-term assistance to Ukraine in implementing structural reforms and financing important projects.

“I am grateful to the Council of Europe for its willingness to deepen cooperation. Together, we will be able to provide systematic assistance to Ukrainians who are far from home,” concluded Oleksiy Chernyshov.
