Oleksiy Chernyshov holds meeting with Ukrainian Red Cross Society team
Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity, Oleksiy Chernyshov, met with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society team, led by Director General Maksym Dotsenko.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the Empowering Refugees through Entrepreneurship project, which provides entrepreneurial training and financial support for Ukrainian refugees in the EU.
It was noted that this initiative will assist those planning to return to Ukraine in starting or reviving their own businesses.
The discussion also focused on the potential involvement of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in Unity Centres, which will serve as hubs for support, access to resources, training programmes, networking opportunities, and engagement with local businesses and authorities.
Oleksiy Chernyshov expressed gratitude for the consistent support provided by the Red Cross to Ukrainians.
Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the recent opening of the RED HUB in Kyiv, a space designed to strengthen humanitarian presence, promote volunteer initiatives, and coordinate support for the most vulnerable groups.
“I am grateful to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society for the constructive dialogue and openness to cooperation,” Oleksiy Chernyshov concluded.
