Oleksiy Chernyshov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine, met with representatives of the French Senate Friendship Group, headed by ethnic Ukrainian Senator Nadia Sologub.

The parties discussed key issues concerning Ukrainians who have found refuge in this country.

"More than 65,000 our citizens have been granted temporary protection here since March 2022. We are grateful for the help. At the same time, we understand that it is important to provide opportunities for their adaptation," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The officials discussed possible legislative support for Ukrainians, as well as cooperation to harmonise integration services. These include employment assistance, access to education for children, social support, etc.

"The war has forced many of our citizens to seek refuge abroad. But our goal is to do everything we can to ensure that Ukrainians feel support, have opportunities for development and, if they wish, can return home. The work is ongoing!" summed up the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.
