Oleksiy Chernyshov held a series of meetings dedicated to supporting Ukrainians abroad

The meetings were held within the framework of a joint meeting of the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission and were dedicated to supporting Ukrainians abroad.

During a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov and EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib, they discussed support for the most vulnerable groups of Ukrainians abroad, as well as strengthening cooperation in implementing the initiatives of the Ministry of National Unity.

At a meeting with EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner, the parties discussed the protection of the rights of Ukrainian citizens abroad, the extension of temporary protection status, and the coordination of partnership with relevant ministers in the EU.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister met with EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, Interinstitutional Relations and Transparency Maroš Šefčovič.

“Ukraine and the EU continue to work closely together to ensure decent conditions for Ukrainians abroad and create opportunities for their return and development in their homeland. I am grateful to our European partners for their solidarity,” Oleksiy Chernyshov said.
