On November 6-7, 2020, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Uruskyy paid a working visit to Zhytomyr and Khmelnytsky regions, where he attended the state enterprises "Zhytomyr Armored Plant", "Shepetivka Repair Plant", and "Novator" and Scientific and technical complex "Precision Mechanics Plant".

During his visits to the defense companies, the Deputy Prime Minister got acquainted with the production facilities, the manufacturing process, the existing technological capabilities and the current state of work. In addition, plans for further development and existing problems were discussed.

At the Zhytomyr Armored Plant, special attention was paid to the timely execution and quality repair and modernization of equipment, in accordance with the State Defense Order amid a pandemic. The Deputy Prime Minister also got familiarized with the samples of products manufactured by the plant to satisfy the demand of both domestic and foreign consumers.

During the visit to "Shepetivka Repair Plant" Oleh Uruskyy discussed with the company's management the prospects of solving urgent problems of the plant and its further development. He also got acquainted with the equipment produced by the enterprise, in particular the latest BM-21UM Berest multiple rocket launcher.

At the Novator enterprise in Khmelnytsky, the Deputy Prime Minister was presented with a ventilator, which is planned to be manufactured at the plant using Swiss technology.

During the trip to Kamianets-Podilsky, Oleh Urusky visited the Scientific and Technical Complex "Precision Mechanics Plant", which manufactures artillery and small arms, which are used in all types of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Under the current challenges, the crucial objectives are viewed the loading of the entreprise with orders and taking measures on updating the existing material and technical base.
