February 5, Kyiv, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zagorodnyuk held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister of Defense — Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ayesh.

During the meeting, the parties discussed security situation in Ukraine and the world, as well as the current challenges and threats faced by both countries.

Andriy Zagorodnyuk outlined the perspective areas of cooperation between the defense agencies of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia in terms of launching new and continuing existing joint projects in different areas of cooperation.

The outcome of the meeting was the signing of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on defense cooperation.

The agreement provides new opportunities for military-technical cooperation and allows expanding cooperation between countries in defense sphere in such areas as defense industry, information technology, military education and medicine etc.
