An additional UAH 8.3 billion allocated to the security and defence sector

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 8.3 billion from the reserve funds earmarked for the security and defence sector in 2026.

The funding will be provided to:

  • the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine;
  • the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine;
  • the Administration of State Guard of Ukraine;
  • the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.

The funds will be directed towards the needs of the security and defence sector, service members’ pay, strengthening the material and technical base, and enhancing intelligence capabilities.

The Government continues to provide consistent support for Ukraine’s Security and Defence Forces through decisions that strengthen the country’s resilience during the full-scale war.

Earlier, the Government also approved the framework for using European Union funding for defence procurement. Ukraine is expected to receive EUR 60 billion under the Ukraine Support Loan for defence needs during 2026–2027.
