  • Police opens 21 criminal proceedings over war crimes in Kherson region

    Communities in Beryslav and Kherson districts came under shelling by russian troops. The occupiers fired at civilian settlements with multiple launch rocket systems, heavy artillery, mortars, tanks, and UAVs. There are dead and wounded people.

    The enemy army shelled Kherson’s residential areas day and night, while the city center and river bank areas came under shelling from the left bank of the Dnipro river. Private houses and apartment buildings, administrative buildings, the territory of a utility company, a stadium, a car park, cars were damaged and destroyed, and enemy shells caused fires.

    Investigators, explosives experts and forensic specialists responded to the sites of shelling. The police were inspecting the area, collecting material evidence and recording the consequences of the russian strikes.

    Over the past two days, police opened 21 criminal proceedings under Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
