On January 4-6, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell will pay a third visit to Ukraine at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
The visit of the head of European diplomacy aims to show the support of our country by the EU against the background of aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.
On January 5, Dmytro Kuleba and Josep Borrel are to visit the demarcation line in Luhansk region, where they will get acquainted with the current security situation in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict.
This will be the first visit of the EU High Representative to Donbas since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Dmytro Kuleba and Josep Borrell will hold talks, the key topics of which are deterring Russia from further aggression, including through tough economic sanctions, promoting a peaceful settlement based on respect for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, implementing humanitarian projects in Donbas, support for further internal transformations of our state.
During the trip to the demarcation line, the Minister and the EU High Representative will talk to the media outlets.
