Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 03, 2022 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,746 (87 children out of this number, 21 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 28,493,854 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,721,822 people have been vaccinated. On January 03, 2022, 36,289 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 7,401 – CoronaVac vaccine, 20,998 – Comirnaty vaccine, 643 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 7,247.

Vaccination was carried out by 476 mobile immunization teams, 2,450 vaccination points and 363 vaccination centers. 

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 970 persons, 135 patients died, 3,629 persons recovered. There have been conducted 25,762 testings (11,633 using the PCR method, 1,340 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 12,789).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,678,088 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,483,354 people recovered;
  • 96,436 people died;
  • 16,835,647 testings have been conducted.
