  • Mykola Solskyi discusses export of Ukrainian agricultural products with German counterpart

    Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi had a regular meeting with German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir as part of the AgriFish meeting. The AgriFish meeting is taking place on 23-24 October in Luxembourg.

    The parties discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Europe. In particular, the transit of grain to European ports. They also discussed the operation of the sea corridor from the ports of Odesa.

    According to Mykola Solskyi, Ukraine plans to send ships with humanitarian grain to African countries as part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Grain from Ukraine initiative. In particular, 25,000 tonnes will be sent to Nigeria, 32,000 tonnes to Sudan and 12,500 tonnes to Somalia.

    Cem Özdemir expressed his solidarity and said his country would continue to support Ukrainian farmers.
