On March 12, a plane from Milan landed at Boryspil Airport, carrying several passengers with signs of acute respiratory illness. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine states that it received a list of all who were on board, all underwent temperature screening.

Each passenger will be instructed on self-isolation and directed to pass the COVID-19 test as soon as possible. If necessary, passengers will be isolated and treated according to the established response procedure.

“The flight attendants and epidemiologists have demonstrated high professionalism in actions. The medical staff of the hospital conducted a study of three people from aboard the Milan-Kyiv plane. The results of the rapid 2019-nCoV (SARS-CoV-2) IgM/IgG tests showed negative, i.e. no coronavirus was detected in passengers,” said Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Liashko, Chief Sanitary and Epidemiological Doctor of Ukraine.
