The new leadership of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine does not intend to halt medical reform in Ukraine. Indeed, new changes in the health care system will be based on best international practices and will include the interests of doctors and patients.

This was stated by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Ilya Yemets during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on March 11.

“The reform of the healthcare system of Ukraine won’t be terminated, it will prolong. Our task is to bring about the changes that would be to the benefit of all Ukrainians, patients and doctors. It is obvious that modernization must take place on the basis of national experience and best practices in the world, and that new mechanisms work immediately so that Ukrainians will not have to suffer while anticipating the changes,” Ilya Yemets emphasized.

According to the Minister, the Ministry of Health engages in preparation for the introduction of the second stage of the reform of the healthcare system.
