Boryspil International Airport will purchase non-contact infrared thermometers to screen passengers arriving from countries where coronavirus cases are detected. This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii following the Government sitting today, March 11, 2020. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the corresponding resolution drafted by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
"Boryspil International Airport is the gateway to Ukraine, through which thousands of inbound travelers arrive, including from those countries where coronavirus cases are confirmed. Preventive measures should be taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Boryspil Airport will purchase infrared devices enabling screening of passengers", Vladyslav Kryklii stressed.
It should be recalled that following the results of a meeting of February 25, 2020, of the operational headquarters on the prevention of introduction and spread of acute respiratory illness caused by coronavirus COVID-19, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine called on the international airports of Ukraine, including the state-owned enterprise "Boryspil International Airport" to ensure the introduction of pre-health checks at airports, namely conducting temperature screening of passengers arriving from countries where coronavirus cases are detected.
