In addition to the established quarantine restrictions, taking into account the growth of morbidity rates and the decisions of the regional commissions of the TES and the Emergencies, the joint MES and MOH recommendations provide for additional restrictions on "yellow" and "orange" epidemic levels. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.
In particular, it is proposed to transfer to distance learning students of 5-11 grades of general secondary education, students of vocational education and students of vocational higher and higher education.
"First of all, these restrictions should be applied in administrative-territorial units where epidemic thresholds for influenza and acute respiratory infection are exceeded, as well as where there is observed a significant increase in the number of cases of coronavirus disease," said Serhii Shkarlet.
Moreover, he noted that after consulting with the Minister of Health and the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science advises extending the school holidays if necessary.
"I ask educators and parents to treat such measures with understanding. They are forced and aimed at preserving the health of teachers, family members of pupils, especially those who are at risk of catching the disease," said Serhii Shkarlet.
According to the Minister of Education and Science, the situation with the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine is quite tense.
It should be noted that quarantine restrictions are currently in force for educational institutions, which are stipulated for by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №104 of February 17, 2021.
Therefore, it is forbidden:
In the regions for which the "red" level of epidemic danger is established, it is forbidden to visit educational institutions regardless of the form of ownership, except for children attending preschool institutions, special educational institutions and grades 1-4 of general secondary education institutions.
