Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 16 July 2024 15:11

Lithuanian energy companies will donate another tranche of humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the form of energy equipment, the total value of which is more than EUR 50 million.

The humanitarian cargo donated by the companies includes more than 300 pieces of essential equipment, including from Vilnius CHPP-3, which will help restore Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

“Lithuania is not just a partner, but a reliable friend of Ukraine that has been supporting us since the first days of full-scale russian aggression. The equipment provided by Lithuanian companies will help power engineers restore the energy infrastructure damaged by russian attacks and bring light and heat back to the homes of thousands of Ukrainians. We are grateful to our partners for this support,” said Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.

Since March 2022, Ukraine has received 80 shipments of power equipment from Lithuania with a total weight of over 1,445 tonnes, including powerful autotransformers, current and voltage transformers, power transformers, backup power plants and other equipment for repairs.
