The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna met with Attila Fülöp, State Secretary of the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary.
In the course of the meeting, Maryna Lazabna thanked Hungary for its support for Ukraine in trying times, in particular, for the condemnation of russian aggression against Ukraine by the Hungarian National Assembly.
Maryna Lazebna briefed on the consequences of russian aggression for civilians, the number of victims, the destruction and seizure of social institutions, the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe after 19 days of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people, violations of international law, including humanitarian and international conventions.
Attila Fülöp had communicated from one of the border crossings between Hungary and Ukraine. In real time, the participants of the meeting got acquainted with the work of registration points for those displaced from Ukraine.
Hungary has set up such checkpoints at all border crossings between Hungary and Ukraine. They have heating, there is a registration of persons moving from Ukraine, they are provided with assistance in finding housing, other necessary information assistance.
The parties agreed on cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary in the following areas:
• Information cooperation on the establishment in Hungary of a database of families and housing ready to host women and children from Ukraine, conducting relevant information campaigns, exchanging available information on already displaced persons and those in need of relocation.
• Conclude a bilateral memorandum on the protection of the rights of displaced children from vulnerable categories, ensuring decent conditions for their stay in Hungary and their mandatory return to Ukraine after the situation stabilizes.
• Establishment of a monitoring group, which will work this week on the border with Hungary to coordinate the practical issues that arise during the movement of Ukrainian citizens.
