At the initiative of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, international organizations will provide residents of de-occupied territories of the Kherson region with humanitarian aid, including food, drinking water, medicines, hygiene products, construction materials and generators. International cash support projects are also planned.
UNHCR, UNICEF, IOM, WFP, International Committee of the Red Cross, Ukrainian Red Cross Society and many others have joined the process.
Currently, more than 6 thousand residents have already received food, water, hygiene products, construction materials, bedding and solar lanterns from the UN agencies.
World Central Kitchen is already providing Kherson residents with food.
In the near future, the humanitarian cargo provided by the Government of Poland and cargoes from other international organizations are expected in the region.
“Dear Kherson residents, we remember about you and will make every effort to return normal life in the liberated territories. Some humanitarian cargoes have already arrived to you, others will arrive soon!” said Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Boroday.
