The Government approved a resolution "Some issues of state financial support for projects (programs) of cross-border cooperation." The document shaped by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development encapsulates new approaches to the competitive selection of projects. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development Ivan Lukerya.
"The adoption of the resolution is a signal that the state is ready to support the implementation of high-quality and relevant cross-border cooperation projects. The competition of cross-border cooperation projects will start soon in the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development. New approaches will allow to develop this direction at the appropriate level. As a result, the competitiveness of regions and communities of Ukraine will increase, "said the Deputy Minister
The introduction of new approaches should increase the level of competitiveness of the regions of Ukraine by deepening economic, social, scientific, technological, environmental, cultural, tourist and other relations within cross-border cooperation.
It should be stressed that the draft Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022" provides for expenditures to support the development of cross-border cooperation in the amount of UAH 60 million, which demonstrates the state's commitment to develop cross-border cooperation.
