Ministry of Culture has added 26 unique museum items to the State Register of National Cultural Heritage
26 unique museum items from the state section of the Museum Fund of Ukraine have been added to the State Register of National Cultural Heritage. The relevant order No. 1123 of 30 December 2025 "On the inclusion of unique museum items from the state section of the Museum Fund of Ukraine in the State Register of National Cultural Heritage" was issued by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine on the recommendation of the Expert and Fund Commission.
The State Register includes artefacts from the collections of leading museum institutions in Ukraine, in particular: 21 items from the collection of the National Preserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra", 1 item from the collection of the Sumy Regional Council's Municipal Institution Putyvl State Historical and Cultural Reserve, 2 items from the funds of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council's Municipal Cultural Institution Dmytro Yavornytskyi National Historical Museum of Dnipro, and 2 items from the collection of the Kharkiv Regional Council's Municipal Institution Art-Memorial Museum of I.Y.Repin.
Among the items entered in the Register of Monuments is the Altar Gospel (1707), printed in the printing house of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra on behalf of Hetman Ivan Mazepa. This is the only printed Aprakos Gospel in the Cyrillic tradition, where the texts are arranged according to the church calendar. Of particular artistic value is the 18th-century silver-gilt setting with enamel medallions by master Oleksii Ishchenko.
The State Register also includes the anthropomorphic stele Kernos Idol (2nd millennium BC) – a unique monument of the Middle Bronze Age from the Northern Black Sea area. This highly artistic example of ancient monumental art is notable for its rich iconography and detailed carving, which gives an insight into the worldview, beliefs, armament and social status of the population of the catacomb cultural and historical community.
The inclusion of museum items in the State Register confirms their exceptional historical, scientific and artistic value, and also ensures special state accounting and protection. As of today, 264 unique monuments have been entered in the Register.
