On Tuesday, September 10, Social Policy Minister Yulia Sokolovska met with a World Bank delegation led by World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Satu Kahkonen.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed the priority areas of the Ministry's work, as well as the mechanisms of cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank experts.
According to Yulia Sokolovska, the agenda contains a number of initiatives. In particular, the draft budget 2020, the search for new approaches in payment of social assistance and provision of services to the population, as well as the introduction of E-social.
“But the main idea is that the Ministry of Social Policy should increase the level of support for the most vulnerable layers of society. At that, we must create new and strengthen existing incentives to work for the working-age population”, Yulia Sokolovska emphasized.
