During a working trip to Luhansk region, the Minister for Veterans Affairs Iryna Friz and Deputy Minister Oleksandr Tereshchenko visited a cemetery in the village of Chmyrovka, Starobilsky district, and laid flowers at the graves of the dead Ukrainian soldiers.
"Together with the mayor of Starobilsk Yana Lytvynova and the deputy head of Starobilsk RSA Olena Hryhorenko we discussed the issue of the rehabilitation of the military cemetery, in particular, the war graves sector as a whole", said Iryna Friz.
The Minister also noted that she was sincerely grateful to the team of the Luhansk regional local history museum, where separate exhibitions devoted to the events of the Revolution of Dignity and ATO/UFO (anti-terror and united forces operations) were established.
"I believe that such memorial places play a significant role in national patriotic education and do not allow forgetting the contribution the Ukrainian military has made to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine", the Minister said.
