During a working visit to the Kingdom of Norway (Oslo) on 28 January, as part of the Ukrainian Government delegation headed by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nyshchuk took part in the Ukrainian-Norwegian business forum.

The forum focuses on political reforms and improvement of the business environment in Ukraine, economic situation and investment opportunities. There are five different parallel sessions at the forum: information-communication technology, energy, seafood and agriculture, production, democratic development. Among other issues is considered the possibility of cooperation in production films between Ukraine and Norway and the prospect of creating a common cinema product.

"It is very important that among the important issues for Ukraine is such a strategic issue as culture. This gives us the opportunity to speak not formally, but about specific initiatives, to support and implement projects that may be interesting not only from an artistic, creative point of view, but also yield real economic dividends", said Yevhen Nyshchuk. "Now our country is in a stage of transition. The society and the authorities are learning to rethink the role and mission of culture. We create new and up-to-date tools for industry support. In particular, I'm talking about the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Ukrainian Book Institute. We mainly talk about the synergy of political will, communities, business and culture. And such platforms are a good opportunity to talk about national initiatives at the international level and share experiences."
