The Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine has joined the European Youth Information Charter and will provide youth information services in line with its principles.
The document was signed by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Oleksandr Yarema on May 23 during the Third International Forum of Youth Centers "From Initiative to Action".
"I perceive it as a momentum to act, to work. Everyone clearly understands how important information is when it is relevant and reasonable. In our time, it seems, it is in abundance, but we lack qualitative and proven information we can rely on", said Oleksandr Yarema.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the main principles were defined and the algorithm of actions was determined. "We support this initiative and will continue to introduce it", the official said.
The Association of Youth Centers also joined the European Youth Information Charter. According to Oleh Slabospytsky, the head of the NGO, it is extremely important to receive information on youth initiatives, volunteer actions, adherence to civil society, etc.
The European Youth Information Charter was adopted in Cascais, Portugal, on April 27, 2018 by the General Assembly of The European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA).
