Today, November 3, 2021, the signing of the 1000th agreement within the framework of the state program "Affordable Mortgage 7%" took place.

The 1000 participants in the program were a couple from Kyiv - businessman Alexander and Vera, who works as a nurse in one of the capital's hospitals. The family bought a new apartment in a residential complex of a famous developer.

"Our own apartment is for us not only a dream come true, but also a new stage of life. Of course, we are satisfied: 7% is the percentage we can afford to pay. It is cheaper than renting an apartment. The bank quickly reviewed our documents and gave a positive answer. Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity," the couple shared their impressions.

At present, 1,000 loan agreements totaling UAH 864.36 million have been signed under the Affordable Mortgage 7%. In total, the authorized banks received 1,240.29 applications for the total amount of UAH 1,423 million. Weekly program development - from 4%.

"Just signed 1000th agreement of the Affordable Mortgage 7%. The program is making progress and we know that even more mortgage agreements are to be signed this week. In addition, the number of ordinary mortgages this year has almost tripled compared to previous years. This indicates the recovery of the mortgage market, which was, in fact, in a "frozen" state after the 2008 crisis. The Government has recently adopted amendments to regulations developed by the Ministry of Finance to increase the involvement of participants in the Affordable Mortgage 7% and "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%" programs. Now these state programs have become even more accessible to citizens," stressed Yuriy Draganchuk, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine for European Integration, Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF).

The “Affordable Mortgage 7%” program initiated by the President of Ukraine has fulfilled, and continues to fulfill, one of its important missions - launching mortgage lending and creating opportunities for Ukrainians to purchase housing on acceptable terms. An additional goal of the program is to improve financial services for people, increase construction, which, in general, gives a positive impetus to the development of Ukraine's economy.

The program is implemented by the EDF to implement public policies, which is formed by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
