On September 19, the Government supported the initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade decisions aimed at improving the system of public control over the implementation of tour operator activities in Ukraine.

Thus, firstly, the Government included the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in a list of controlling bodies not subject to the moratorium on business inspections, by conferring the Ministry the right to carry out planned inspections over compliance with the tourist business licensing conditions for the implementation of tour operator activities by the end of 2018.

Secondly, the Government introduced new criteria for assessing the degree of risk involved in the activities of tour operators subject to licensing. The frequency of the execution by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade inspections of tour operators will depend on the aforesaid assessment.

The changes will allow the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to take urgent measures in case of detecting violations by tour operators of licensing conditions for the conduct of tour operator activities and deprive unscrupulous tour operators of a license.
