A farewell ceremony for Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Honored Worker of the Social Sphere and Honorary Citizen of Vinnytsia Raisa Panasyuk was held in Vinnytsia. A social activist, a journalist and a psychologist by education, she has long headed the municipal center of social and psychological rehabilitation of children and youth with disabilities "Harmony", which since 2006 has been a place for the development of people with disabilities. Thanks to her solid position and perseverance, Raisa Panasyuk managed to bring the problem of unimpeded access of people with disabilities to the infrastructure of cities and towns to the national level.

Her initiatives and requirements were included in the updated building codes approved by the Government and introduced from September of this year. She has constantly paid attention to examples of negligence and reckless disregard to the needs of people with disabilities. It significantly changed not only the state's policy in this sphere, but also eradicated public stereotypes.
