Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, posted 03 April 2025 14:40

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has made the first payment in 2025 under the compensation programme for 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery. UAH 126.6 million has already been transferred to buyers of domestically produced machinery purchased in December 2024 and January 2025. Applications for February and March will be processed and paid in April.

"This is the first payment of 25% compensation in 2025 - almost UAH 127 million. The large number of applications and the coverage of almost all regions indicate a steady demand for Ukrainian machinery. These are real orders for more than a hundred machine-building companies across the country. Through the Made in Ukraine policy programmes, the Government creates additional domestic demand for the products of Ukrainian manufacturers, supporting jobs, production and development of the industry," said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

The compensation was paid for the products of about 90 Ukrainian machine-building companies whose equipment is included in the official list of the Ministry of Economy. These are large plants, as well as small and medium-sized manufacturers from all over Ukraine - from Poltava to Ivano-Frankivsk.

Agricultural producers have been the most active in using the programme:

  • Khmelnytsky region - UAH 15.6 million in compensation
  • Mykolaiv region - UAH 13.3 million
  • Sumy region - UAH 12.7 million
  • Ternopil region - UAH 9.7 million
  • Odesa region -  UAH 9 million.

The largest number of equipment units were purchased in Khmelnytskyi (108), Poltava (90), Odesa (78) and Kirovohrad (75) regions.

As a reminder, in 2024, 5,311 units of machinery worth over UAH 4.2 billion were purchased under the 25% compensation programme. The state compensated almost UAH 877 million.

How the programme works?

The 25% compensation is provided for agricultural machinery and equipment containing at least 60% of Ukrainian materials and components. Special conditions apply to certain categories of machinery, such as combines, tractors, self-propelled sprayers and grain carriers.

To benefit from the 25% compensation programme, agricultural producers must select machinery or equipment from the official list on the Ministry of Economy's website, purchase it and submit an application through an authorised bank.

As of March, the List includes 11,910 technical items from 144 manufacturers. The List is constantly expanding - 6 new manufacturers have recently joined and 62 new items have been added. The eligibility of producers is determined in accordance with the criteria set out in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 130 dated 1 March 2017 (as amended).

Producers wishing to include their products in the list may apply to the Ministry of Economy by submitting an application on the Ministry's official website.

The programme operates in accordance with Government Resolution No. 130 and is one of the tools for the implementation of the Made in Ukraine policy aimed at supporting domestic production, localisation and development of industrial potential.
