Denys Shmyhal discusses with the IMF team preparation for the next review of the EFF
On 3 April, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund headed by Uma Ramakrishnan, Deputy Director at the IMF European Department.
Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko also attended the meeting.
Denys Shmyhal thanked for the participation in the meeting of the Ukrainian Donor Platform held the day before. The participants of the Platform assured of their continued support for Ukraine.
In this regard, Denys Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to the IMF team for the successful 7th review of the EFF Arrangement, which allowed Ukraine to receive USD 400 million of the next tranche. In total, our country has already received more than USD 10 billion under the EFF. The parties addressed further cooperation and preparation for the next mission of the Fund.
"The International Monetary Fund plays an important role in ensuring Ukraine's macro-financial stability and in working with other international partners to attract financial assistance. We believe that we will continue our close and fruitful cooperation," the Prime Minister of Ukraine concluded.
