Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources informs new digital services to appear on the EcoSystem in 2023

Serhii Vlasenko, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources in charge of digitalization, and Yevheniia Popovych, Director of the Department of Digital Transformation and Electronic Public Services of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, told about the new digital services that would be available on the EcoSystem in 2023 during the online presentation of the Encyclopedia on eco-solutions in the chatbot from EcoRubrika. The Encyclopedia on eco-solutions contains more than 200 instructions for implementing environmental solutions: from sorting and planting trees to restoring lakes and reclaiming landfills.

According to Serhii Vlasenko, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources always supports effective digital solutions that make life easier and better for Ukrainians. It is important for us that the interaction of the state with businesses and the public is simple, easy, and understandable. That is why digitalization has been and remains one of the most important priorities of the Ministry. The large-scale digitalization of the environmental protection sector, initiated by Minister Ruslan Strilets, started in 2021. Today, the EcoSystem Unified Ecological Platform is actively developing and replenished with new products.

Among the main digital achievements of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources in 2022:

  • 5 services in the "peopless" format
  • Launch of the EcoZagroza (EcoThreat - ed.) web resource
  • Launch of the online store eDrova (eWood)
  • Launch of an e-cabinet for subsoil users

In January 2023 alone, businesses received about 900 administrative services through the EcoSystem. In total, we have:

  • 717 submitted waste declarations;
  • 108 certificates on background concentrations received
  • 35 conclusions on cross-border transportation of Green List waste.

Since the launch of the EcoZagroza app, almost 280,000 users have visited it, and the app has been downloaded 7,638 times.

The application allows every Ukrainian citizen to receive reliable information about the state of air, water, radiation, etc. in real time and report environmental crimes in russia. In addition, the app is currently testing a new service - notifications of air alerts in their region.

So, despite the war, the team of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources continues to implement ambitious plans to further digitalize environmental protection. After all, digitalization is primarily about transparency, accessibility, and efficiency.

According to Yevheniia Popovych, in 2023, it is planned to launch 12 more online services on the EcoSystem. These include an entrepreneur's e-office, a permit for special water use, air emissions, and a license for waste management under the new rules.
