The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food in synergy with the EU project SAFPI is launching an all-Ukrainian information campaign "State support for the development of farms and agricultural service cooperatives in 2019".
During the five training seminars, experts of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food will inform about the state support for the farmers of the advisory services, consolidated territorial communities, farmers' associations and regional departments of agrarian and industrial complex from all over Ukraine, who will further spread information directly to the farmers on the ground.
The first event gathered Deputy Director of the Agriculture Support, Cooperation and Rural Development Department, Head of the Farms Support Department Serhii Shupik, representatives of departments of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the EU Project Support to Agriculture and Food Policy Implementation in Ukraine (SAFPI) team leader John Millns, acting Director General of the Ukrainian State Fund for Support of Farmers Yurii Apalkov, representatives of the conolidated territorial communities and advisory services.
"Our goal is to hold a comprehensive information campaign among farmers on state support. For these purposes, we appealed to advisory services and other authorized representatives from 24 regions to familiarize them with all the necessary information on this subject. And they will continue to work directly with farmers on the ground. On the results of the information campaign, we expect to cover at least 10,000 active farms and agricultural cooperatives", said Serhii Shupik.
The first three training workshops will be held on May 22, 24 and 28 for 150 representatives from all over the country - advisory services, regional offices of the association of farmers and private landowners, regional departments of the Ukrainian State Fund for Farms Support, structural subdivisions of the agro-industrial development of the RSA, rural and consolidated territorial communities, which organize the work of information mobile centers in the regions.
The last two workshops will be held in June within the framework of the AGRO-2019 exhibition and the International Field Day for representatives of the farms and cooperatives.
The events will be funded under the EU SAFPI Project.
