
Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov tackles Ukraine's accession to the Digital Europe Programme at a meeting with the Director of the Support Group for Ukraine in the European Commission
Ukraine's participation in the Digital Europe Programme will help support the development of technology at the proper level, even during the war. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov at a meeting with the Acting Director of the Support Group for Ukraine in the European Commission Ms. Katarina Mathernova.
"We are grateful to the European Commission for its prompt response and consultations on Ukraine's accession to the Digital Europe Programme. We are very much looking forward to its signing in July this year. This will help Ukraine to implement all our commitments in the digital sphere under the Association Agreement as soon as possible," Mykhailo Fedorov said during the meeting.
The special conditions of Ukraine's participation in the program were also discussed amidst the war in Ukraine. In particular, the possibility of a 95% discount on the payment of the financial contribution for participation in the program, as currently the Ukrainian budget is focused on comprehensive protection and support of the economy in the fight against russian aggression.
