Maxym Stepanov: Government has adopted a resolution initiated by the Ministry of Health, which will regulate the mechanism of additional payments to health workers
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at an extraordinary meeting endorsed a resolution submitted by the Ministry of Health, which encapsulates the mechanism of bonuses to medical workers, which are accrued from September. This was announced by Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov at a daily briefing.
"In order to enable medical workers to shortly receive additional payments, it was necessary to urgently make a decision on the procedure for allocating UAH 5.9 billion provided for this purpose. Today, at a Government meeting, it was determined in what way doctors will receive such bonuses. Immediately after the publication of the resolution, hospitals will be able to conclude agreements and by the end of September start receiving these funds and pay them to their medical staff," the Health Minister underscored.
It will be recalled that bonuses for doctors are envisaged in the amount of 70% of the official salary, calculated according to the highest 14th classification of the unified tariff system, specialists with basic and incomplete higher medical education of all specialities – to the tune of 50% of the minimum wage, junior nurses - 25% minimum wage.
Apart from that, the Government adopted a resolution of the Ministry of Health approving the list of specialized organizations through which certain medicines are procured.
