Lviv and Ternopil are linked by a new road built in line with the modern standards which apart from connecting two regional centers is part of the international Go Highway corridor, connecting the Black Sea ports with the western border of the European Union. During 5 years the roads will link all regional centers of Ukraine - within the framework of a Government strategy of development of the road network. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said while visiting highway M-09 along the route Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska which constitutes part of the Go Highway corridor.
"I promised that this highway would be built, so it has been completed. I remember this road out-of-repair. I traveled along it 15-20 years ago myself. The residents of Ternopil drove to Lviv wasting 3.5 hours, now due to the connection it is a maximum of 1.5 hours. We have finally built the highway connecting Lviv and Ternopil, and the next thing is we will connect Lviv-Ternopil with the Black Sea, and the Black Sea with the western border and with the EU", the Head of Government stressed.
The Prime Minister highlighted that all the activities would be prolonged next year.
"This is part of the implementation of our strategy - to connect all the regional centers of Ukraine within 5 years. I emphasize: Ukrainian citizens have the right to drive along good roads and they will drive along high-quality roads", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
