Luxembourg allocates EUR 10 million towards restoration of Ukrainian energy sector
The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has directed another contribution of EUR 10 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. This is the country’s third financial contribution in support of restoring Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“The support from Luxembourg is an important contribution to strengthening the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system amid ongoing hostile shelling. This assistance enables the prompt restoration of damaged facilities and ensures electricity supply for consumers,” noted Roman Andarak, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
In 2024, Luxembourg transferred EUR 2 million, and in June 2025 – another EUR 10 million. The attracted funds were, in particular, directed towards restoring energy facilities in Kharkiv region that suffered as a result of russian attacks.
Currently, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, together with the Energy Community Secretariat, is working to attract additional resources to finance the agreed 2025 needs of energy companies that remain uncovered. Donors have informed about plans to transfer another EUR 350 million to the Fund.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine expresses gratitude to the Government of Luxembourg for its consistent support and solidarity with Ukraine in confronting russia’s energy terror.
