  • Lithuanian and Canadian partners will support the operational capabilities enhancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

    On October 24, as part of a working visit to NATO Headquarters, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zagorodnyuk held a meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart Raimundas Karoblis and Canada’s Deputy Minister for National Defense Gordon Venner.

    Foreign colleagues assured in continued support to Ukraine in its efforts to resolve the security situation and restore its territorial integrity.

    The parties also discussed issues related to the security situation in the region as well as prospective directions for further cooperation between the defense agencies.

    Partners has also reaffirmed their interest in enhancing practical cooperation in the defense field by continuing to implement joint assistance programs aimed at enhancement of the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

    Andriy Zagorodniuk has also visited military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are being treated at the Queen Astrid Military Hospital within assistant program from the Belgian side.
