Immediately after the russians blew up the dam at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Government allocated UAH 1.5 billion from the Fund of Liquidation of Consequences of the armed aggression of the russian federation for the construction of main water pipelines. The work has already begun. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government meeting on July 4.
These are the Karachunivka Reservoir - Kryvyi Rih - Pivdenne Reservoir, Marhanets - Nikopol, Khortytsia - Tomakivka water pipelines.
" Their length is about 150 km, and they will provide drinking water to residents of four regions, in particular, to the residents of Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol and Marhanets. I call for maximum coordination of efforts between central and local authorities to achieve results as soon as possible," said Denys Shmyhal.
In total, according to the Prime Minister, the Government has allocated over UAH 4 billion to overcome the consequences of the terrorist attack at the Kakhovka HPP. These funds are allocated for the supply of potable water to people, for the reconstruction of damaged and destroyed facilities, and for the payment of UAH 5,000 as one-time assistance to the victims.
According to the Head of Government, as of today, 2,300 applications for such assistance have already been submitted, of which almost a thousand have already been transferred for payment. The relevant amounts of money have been transferred to the local authorities, and over the next two days, the local authorities will make these payments.
