Rapid recovery is among the main tasks to which the Government's primary efforts are directed, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized during a CMU session.
"We have identified priorities. We are accumulating resources. We have formed recovery teams. We need to act quickly to carry out the most urgent work by next winter," the Head of Government stressed.
According to the Prime Minister, Ukrainians have submitted more than 22,000 applications for compensation for damaged housing. The leaders are Kharkiv, Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions.
"Unfortunately, the processing of applications by local authorities is rather slow. Compensation has been approved for only one and a half hundred people. I emphasize once again: we should mobilise to the maximum extent possible, provide people with resources before the onset of cold weather so that they have time to complete the repair work," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Head of Government, almost UAH 62 billion has been accumulated in the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression, of which UAH 23.7 billion has already been allocated for reconstruction. In particular, UAH 4.4 billion has been allocated for the implementation of the eVidnovlennia programme.
