Compensation of 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery: Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture approves a record UAH 353.8 million for March
The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has approved the regular monthly payment under the program to compensate 25% of the cost of domestic agricultural machinery and equipment. The program is part of the Made in Ukraine policy for the development of national manufacturers.
Reimbursements totaling UAH 353.8 million will be transferred to 1,113 agricultural producers who purchased 2,316 units of machinery and equipment in March 2026. This is the largest amount of compensation in a single month since the program’s resumption in 2024.
“March set a record for the program: farmers purchased domestically produced machinery worth UAH 1.7 billion. That’s over 2,300 machines and pieces of equipment from hundreds of Ukrainian factories. By buying domestic products, farmers recoup part of their expenses, while companies secure new contracts. This is the main goal of the Made in Ukraine: to keep money circulating within the country while simultaneously strengthening both agriculture and our manufacturing sector,” noted Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
In March, agricultural producers purchased equipment for livestock farming, field work, soil cultivation, plant protection, irrigation, transportation, drying, storage, and processing of agricultural products.
Agricultural producers in Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions were the most active in utilizing the program.
The Ternopil, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, and Poltava regions lead in terms of the amount of machinery and equipment purchased.
In total, from April 2024 through March 2026, more than 10,000 agricultural producers and agricultural processing enterprises took advantage of the program. They purchased nearly 17,000 units of machinery and equipment for a total of UAH 12.2 billion (including VAT). The state paid UAH 2.6 billion in compensation.
As a reminder, in April 2026, the Government expanded the terms of the compensation program for farmers and agricultural processors in frontline regions. Now, farmers with 80% or more of their land located in combat zones will be eligible to receive compensation covering 40% of the cost (excluding VAT) of agricultural machinery and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers.
How the program works
A 25% compensation is provided for agricultural machinery and equipment containing at least 60% Ukrainian materials and components. Special conditions apply to certain categories—combine harvesters, tractors, self-propelled sprayers, and grain trucks.
To take advantage of the 25% cost reimbursement program, agricultural producers must select machinery or equipment from the official list on the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture website, purchase it, and submit an application through an authorized bank. Currently, 34 authorized banks are participating in the program.
As of now, the List contains 13,680 items from 147 Ukrainian manufacturers. The equipment includes tillage machinery, seeding equipment, harvesters, grain cleaning and elevator equipment, grain dryers, conveyors, truck scales, and other modern equipment manufactured in Ukraine.
Manufacturers’ eligibility is determined in accordance with the criteria specified in Resolution No. 130 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 1, 2017 (as amended).
Manufacturers wishing to include their products in the list may contact the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture by submitting an application on the Ministry’s official website.
The program is one of the tools for pursuing the Made in Ukraine policy, aimed at supporting domestic production, localization, and the development of industrial potential.
