The Commission for the selection of independent members of the Supervisory Board of the state agency Energy Efficiency Fund announced the results of the competition. The first independent member of the Supervisory Board has been appointed Rajkiewicz Andrzej (Poland), and the second - Sabatiuk Julia (Ukraine). According to the procedure of the competitive selection, the Commission also selected two applicants – second position by results: Laura Garbenciute-Bakiene (Lithuania) for the first member position, Luchinkina Karina (Great Britain) for the second member position. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko.
"I have just congratulated Julia Sabatiuk, chairman of the Luchany association of condominiums, on a victory in the competitive selection as an independent member of the Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund. It's cool that the person who knows exactly clients of the Fund has won - those are condominiums and apartment buildings. And the person who has independently implemented energy-efficient measures and achieved energy savings of 70%. I congratulate all the winners. I wish success in implementation of the energy efficiency reform! Soon the Energy Efficiency Fund will be launched at full capacity! Keep moving!" Hennadii Zubko emphasized.
In total, 56 applicants have been agreed by the Commission for the selection of independent members of the Supervisory Board of the state agency Energy Efficiency Fund for participation in the competition. 49 of them were admitted to the next stage.
During the evaluation process, the Commission shortlisted 20 applicants who were admitted in the third stage of the competitive selection - solving a case, as a result of which eight applicants were best suited - four applicants from Ukraine and four from European countries.
The final stage of the competition - interviewing the applicants with the members of the Competition Commission - was conducted according to the following criteria: strategic thinking, responsibility for the final result, communication skills, leadership skills, language proficiency in accordance with the requirements, expertise in the energy efficiency market, trends and prospects for the development of energy efficiency markets. Moreover, the Commission assessed the work experience and verified the applicants' business reputation and letters of recommendation.
It should be mentioned that in compliance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Energy Efficiency Fund" and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated May 23, 2018, No. 582 "On Approval of the Procedure for the Selection, Appointment and Dismissal of the Members of the Supervisory Board of the State Institution Energy Efficiency Fund", the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services by order dated August 13 set up a Commission for the selection of independent members of the Supervisory Board of the state institution Energy Efficiency Fund and approved its composition. The Commission comprised one representative from the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the SCMU, the Ministry of Finance and three representatives from donors - two from the European Commission and one representative from the German Government. In addition, according to the decision of the Commission, a professional recruitment consultant from company Hadson having international experience in the recruitment sector was included into the work of the Commission.
