On commission of the Prime Minister, a meeting of the State Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies Commission was held with the heads of the territorial subsystems of the unified state civil protection system.
A number of important issues have been considered. In particular, regarding the powers of central and local executive bodies in case of emergencies and possible complication of the military-political situation.
The issue of ensuring the sustainable functioning of economic sectors amid such conditions was also raised. Namely, the safety of the nuclear-industrial, oil-gas and coal-industrial complexes, infrastructure facilities, the operation of housing and communal services, etc.
The Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov stressed the importance of these issues, as well as the need to check the alarm systems, the readiness of shelters for the population and, if necessary, bring the facilities to the proper state.
In addition, the Minister noted that speculations about the disruption of the heating season did not come true. "100% of the energy resources of all necessary types to pass the heating season have been provided, and you can see that we are following the announced course," he stressed.
