The team of the Ministry of Infrastructure took part in the European Commission's Connecting Europe Days 2022 event in Lyon.

The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov addressed the participants of the event as part of the launch panel. He noted that every day the war takes the lives of hundreds of Ukrainians, the civilian infrastructure is destroyed, the economy suffers enormous losses.

"This is a tragic price we are paying to completely get rid of the Soviet past and become a full member of the European family.

We are very grateful to our European colleagues for granting the status of an EU membership candidate because this is the assessment that Ukraine has earned in today's struggle for the democratic future of Ukraine and the whole of Europe.

Moreover, our resistance to the aggressor is also our contribution to resolving the global food crisis provoked by russia's blockade of Ukraine's seaports. As a result of the aggressor's actions, hundreds of millions of people in several countries in Africa and Asia may find themselves on the brink of starvation. That is why we are expanding our capacity at the western borders in order to export food to foreign markets as quickly and in large quantities as possible.

There is no doubt that the victory of Ukraine is the victory of the entire civilized world. That is why our struggle must become a struggle of the whole world against tyranny," Oleksandr Kubrakov stressed.
