The number of projects implemented in the regions and aimed at the development of territories  in recent years (2016-2019) has exceeded 16,000,  Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced.

The Prime Minister stressed that decentralization became a significant impetus for the development of the regions - the transfer of administrative powers and financial resources to local self-governments.

Since 2014 local budget revenues have almost quadrupled due to the reform According to the results of this year, the planned volume of revenues should amount to at least UAH 262 billion.

"There are many supporters of decentralization today. Many people are united by reform. And the results gladden us, but  it's important not to stop. At the legislative level, the rights of local self-government should be secured through amendments to the Constitution. We need to complete the process of community amalgamation and focus on supporting small towns", Volodymyr Groysman underscored.
