
Kherson region: update on liquidation of consequences of Kakhovka HPP blow-up as of 10:00
As of 10:00 on 17 June, the water level of the Dnipro River at the Kherson post is gradually decreasing and has reached 1.01 metres.
11 settlements (1,509 houses) on the right bank of the Dnipro River and 17 settlements on the temporarily occupied territory remain flooded.
A total of 2,782 people were evacuated in Kherson region.
716 people have been rescued (including 30 children and 40 persons with reduced mobility). Psychological support was provided to 401 people. Since the start of the work, 1,648 calls have been received to the 101 and 112 emergency services.
14 evacuation points have been set up.
Rescuers are pumping out water. More than 22,000 tonnes of water have been pumped out of 88 buildings and basements (more than 59,000 tonnes have been pumped out of 245 buildings and basements since the start of the work), with 68 motor pumps being used.
49 tonnes of water (including 36 tonnes of drinking water) and 4,495 kg of food and basic necessities have been delivered to residents.
