Government allocates nearly UAH 3.5 billion for the repair and maintenance of local roads

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the allocation of UAH 3.499 billion from the state budget reserve fund to regional military administrations. The funding will be directed towards current repairs and maintenance of local public roads.

The funding is intended for urgent priority works in 23 regions. It concerns roads that are essential for supporting the needs of the Defence Forces, civilian evacuation, and the uninterrupted operation of the country’s logistics routes.

“In wartime, local roads are part of the country’s resilience. They are needed for communities to function, for evacuating people, transporting humanitarian aid, supporting defence needs, and maintaining stable logistics. The allocated funds will enable regions to carry out priority works promptly on the sections where they are most needed,” said Vitaliy Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

The decision will enable current repairs and maintenance of local roads, improve transport accessibility for communities, support the operation of critically important routes, and ensure reliable connectivity across the regions.
