Cabinet of Ministers allocates UAH 34 million for water supply in Mykolaiv region
The Government has adopted a decision to improve the water supply system in Mykolaiv region. The corresponding resolution, “On Amendments to Annex 2 of the State Targeted Programme for Comprehensive Water Supply to Territories Affected by Military Operations until 2030,” was approved at a Government meeting.
According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers has redistributed UAH 34 million within the state programme to address the needs of Mykolaiv region, ensuring stable access to water during the dry period.
Specifically, the document provides for amendments to the State Targeted Programme for Comprehensive Water Supply to Territories Affected by Military Operations until 2030. These include the addition of a new measure to fill the cascade of reservoirs in Mykolaiv region between November and December 2025. The State Agency of Water Resources has been designated as the main administrator of the budget funds.
These measures will facilitate stable access to renewable, safe, and economically affordable water sources for the population and economic sectors of Mykolaiv region. They will also ensure the uninterrupted operation of the water supply cascade of reservoirs, maintain the balance of underground freshwater horizons, and create sustainable conditions for inter-basin water transfers to the water-scarce Black Sea coast region.
