Government approves deficit-free budget for the Pension Fund of Ukraine in 2026


The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for 2026. The total volume of revenues and expenditures will amount to UAH 1,263.3 billion.

“The Pension Fund budget for 2026 is balanced and deficit-free, and it ensures timely financing of all social payments provided for by law. At the same time, we are preparing further systemic changes in pension provision to make the pension system fairer, more transparent, and more understandable for people,” noted Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine Denys Uliutin.

The Pension Fund budget will ensure financing for:

  • pension payments – UAH 1,001.9 billion;
  • payments under mandatory state social insurance in connection with temporary loss of working capacity and from occupational accidents and occupational diseases that caused loss of working capacity – UAH 63.8 billion;
  • payments of housing subsidies and benefits for payment of housing and communal services, purchase of solid and liquid stove household fuel and liquefied gas, state social assistance, and other social payments provided for by law – UAH 197.6 billion.

The approved budget takes into account the indexation of pension and insurance payments starting from 1 March 2026.
