The Cabinet of Ministers approved draft State Budget for 2021. The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Government on September 14.
"Today the Government will submit the draft State Budget for 2021 to the Verkhovna Rada. The draft main financial document of the country is balanced and meets the specific challenges of today. The main focus is placed on the following: support for citizens and businesses, a new impetus to regional development, further renewal of infrastructure. The draft budget contains increases in both the social component and development expenditures. The Government counts on constructive cooperation with the Parliament and prompt adoption of this document," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"The draft budget for 2021 is realistic and balanced, based on the macroeconomic forecast adopted by the Government in July this year. In essence, this is a budget of opportunities for economic development and support for our citizens and businesses in the context of "restarting" the economy after the impact of the coronavirus pandemic," commented Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko.
