Western air defense systems will protect women and children: Iryna Vereshchuk

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, expressed her gratitude to the leadership and people of Italy, commenting on the provision of counter-air defense systems to Ukraine.

On air of RAI3 TV channel, she thanked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for the Italian government's firm position on the supply of weapons to Ukraine as well as for her personal presence in our country on the eve of the anniversary of the full-scale russian invasion. According to Iryna Vereshchuk, such visits demonstrate the commitment to support.

"From the very beginning of the russian aggression, the Italian parliament has backed a decision to provide military support to Ukraine. Italy supplied us with air defense systems. They are already working, protecting our cities and infrastructure. But most importantly, they are saving the lives of thousands of civilians, including many women and children," summarized Iryna Vereshchuk.
