We are preparing for de-occupation, said Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, while speaking to the media in Zaporizhzhia.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that President Zelenskyy had clearly set all the priorities during his recent visit to the region. First of all, it is defence and everything that is needed for these purposes. The task of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories is the humanitarian front.
“Humanitarian demining, ensuring the legal environment and assisting the population is the experience we gained during the liberation of Kharkiv and Kherson regions. I really hope that in the near future we will apply it during the de-occupation and reintegration of Zaporizhzhia region,” the official said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, people in all temporarily occupied territories are waiting for justice first and foremost. This means punishment for collaborators, return or restoration of lost property.
“We must have a clear understanding of who is doing what and what they are responsible for. And as soon as the occupier’s boots leave our land, we are ready to start restoring justice and returning full life to our settlements,” Iryna Vereshchuk summed up.
